The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is hosting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Hybrid Training.
Interested participants are required to complete an independent-study online course prior to taking the in-person hands-on training session which is conducted over two days.
Interested participants should:
- Register for the in-person hands-on training session here.
- Register for the independent-study online course. Completing the course is required to attend the in-person training. To complete the CERT online training, visit the University of Utah Hybrid CERT.
- Once on the page, Hybrid CERT is the first online course listed. From there, please select the language you want.
- In the next window, on the far right of the screen, is the Registration link.
- You will automatically receive an e-mail from CalOES Hybrid CERT (via Merit) for each module completed and the final. For each email, please click on "ACCEPT" to accept the Merit.
- You will be prompted to create an account on the Merit website to track your completed modules.
- There is an “optional” Triage module listed that you must also complete. (There will be a separate certificate showing completion of this module only.)
- Attend your registered in-person hands-on training session to receive you final certificate.
Due to limited space, those interested are encouraged to complete the online training as soon as possible!
