The County of Los Angeles
Fire Department is hosting a
free-hybrid Community Emergency
Response Team (CERT) hands-on training class
on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, 2026.
All participants are required to complete an independent-study online course prior to attending the in-person, hands-on training sessions. To complete the CERT online training, visit https://cert.hazready.com/CourseCatalog. If you need assistance registering for the online course, please see the instructions below or email CERT@fire.lacounty.gov.
Once you complete the
online Hybrid CERT training, please email your certificate to CERT@fire.lacounty.gov.
The hands-on training portion of the class will be held in-person on the following dates:
• Saturday, June 6, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, June 7, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
The hands-on training portion of the class will be held in-person at:
Kiyoto Ken Nakaoka Memorial Community Center

Gardena, CA, 90247
Participants must be 16 years of age and older and complete the entire course to receive a certificate of completion.
*Be advised: We reserve the right to cancel the class due to insufficient interest. We require a minimum of 10 participants to host a class.
