The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is hosting a free hybrid Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training class on February 10, and February 17, 2024.
Open to everyone 16 years of age and older, the CERT program prepares volunteers to help triage patients in the event of a disaster until first responders arrive to provide advance care. Each individual will receive in-depth information surrounding disaster preparedness and hands-on training in basic disaster response skills. These skills include, but are not limited to, fire safety, search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations to keep you, your family, and the community safe.
Interested participants are required to complete an independent-study online course prior to registering for the in-person hands-on training sessions. To complete the CERT online training, visit Be Ready – Train CSTI (csod.com). If you need assistance registering for the online course, view the LINKS section below for instructions.
Due to limited space, those interested are encouraged to complete the online training as soon as possible!
