Description

This is a regional CERT Training provided by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, in collaboration with the Office of Supervisor Janice Hahn.

Following a major disaster, police, fire, and medical personnel may not be able to fully meet the demand.  People will have to rely on each other to meet immediate life-saving and life-sustaining needs.  Developed through FEMA, the Los Angeles County Fire Department's
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program provides
basic training in safety and life-saving skills for the public.

The training course will be a series of three classes on Saturdays, October 14, 21, and 28, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at:

Hesse Community Park
29301 Hawthorne Boulevard
Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275

*  Students must complete 20 course hours to receive a certificate of completion.  If you miss any units, you can make them up anywhere CERT is taught to receive your certificate.

If you have any questions, please contact Captain Chiyoshi Hasegawa at (213) 264-0009.  If you are not comfortable signing onto the Galaxy Digital site, you may register by sending a text to Community Services Liaison Rosemary Vivero at (213) 215-2193 with your name, cell number and email.
